The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileFor over 35 years, Farleigh Hospice has been providing care and support for people with life-limiting illnesses in mid Essex. Referrals to our service increase every year, and we are committed to providing free care to those in need and their families. We can only do this thanks to the generosity of the local community.
Take part in Birketts' 20th anniversary Race4Business to raise money for a new Hospice Outreach Project (HOP) vehicle.
This vehicle is desperately needed to take information about the hospice and our services throughout the whole of the local community. People are often scared by the word "hospice" and are not aware of the help and specialist support we are able to provide.
If you are "ill, bereaved, or worried about someone who is", our team will be on hand to provide information and support to anyone in mid Essex. The HOP vehicle will visit locations such as schools, libraries, supermarkets and community centres, taking the hospice to people in their own areas.
In 2016 we were forced to retire our HOP vehicle, due to mechanical defects. As a result, our community has seen a sharp decline in the information services available to them- particularly in remote areas.
By taking part in, and raising sponsorship for, Birketts' Race4Business 2018, you'll be helping us to bring back our HOP vehicle, allowing us to get back out into the community and provide specialist support and advice where it is needed most.
