Story

Today, almost half of the world’s extreme poor live in sub-Saharan Africa. The vast majority work in agriculture.

Our 2019 team of runners are pushing themselves to the limit to help farmers in eastern Africa thrive.

Aid Match

This year, the intrepid Farm Africa London Marathon team are part of our Coffee is Life appeal, which is raising funds to help more farming families across eastern Africa grow more, sell more and sell for more.  Between 8 February and 8 May 2019, donations will be doubled by the UK Government – meaning your gifts will go twice as far.

Your donation will support Farm Africa projects across eastern Africa, and the matched funding you unlock from the UK government will directly fund a Farm Africa project that will give women in Kanungu in western Uganda the opportunity to make a decent living from coffee farming.

We work in Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda growing agriculture, protecting the environment and developing businesses in rural areas.

Do you have a London Marathon ballot place? Join the team and help farmers living in eastern Africa lift themselves out of poverty.
