As this building dates back to 1891, it is expensive to keep maintained. However, it is the main meeting point for the community and activities. Events that have gone on for generations, continue, such as The Flower Show - a chance to show off your prize onions, or best Gladioli ! Locals use it regularly for activities such as Art Group, Choir, Book Swap, Circuit Training plus the Parish Council. It also supports other groups such as Home Educated tuition groups, Relaxation classes and band practice. It is used by the St Martins Church (next door) to have social events in order to raise vital funds to keep the church maintained. Weddings are also a favourite for this venue.
People love the original structure and we are continually maintaining this whilst modernising certain aspects so that it remains attractive to hire. For example a modern kitchen and free WiFi. With grants being cut back, we now have to look elsewhere to help financially support this historical establishment in order to keep it in good condition for future generations. Any funds that you can spare would be gratefully received and used to it's full potential.
Thank you for your support.
