We want to encourage all reading so the target depends on each child’s level of skill and enthusiasm and should be set by a parent/carer together with the child. So it could be anything from a page to a book a day! Fact, fiction, comic, newspaper – anything written can be part of the challenge. Eg I am going to read and cook a recipe; I am going to read a newspaper article; I am going to read a comic. All money raised will go back to the school in the form of donations for ongoing projects, specifically improvements to the playground.
