Group B Strep is the leading cause of severe infection in newborn babies including sepsis, meningitis and pneumonia. Charity Group B Strep Support provides support for families, improves awareness, educates health professionals and campaigns for better prevention.

Story

The Strep B Stomp is all about having FUN whilst raising money to stop GBS infection in newborn babies. This family fun run in Victoria Park, Worthing, is taking place on the 1st July 2018 and suitable for all the family however you take part - whether you walk, jog, or run. 

You can choose a 3km or 5km distance so it's achievable for all ages and abilities. This year there will be fun family activities to take part in on the day too. Why not bring a picnic and relax after your fundraising efforts!

About 800 babies a year develop group B Strep infection in the UK. Approximately 70 die, and 50 recover with life-changing disabilities.

Group B Strep Support works to raise awareness, educate health professionals about group B Strep, and support families affected by the devastation caused by group B Strep infection.
