Carwen Jones works for Basis Young People's project, supporting young girls and women at risk of or experiencing child sexual exploitation. Basis Young People has been delivering this work for over 15 years now and we have been fortunate to receive a grant from Children in Need that helps us fund part of this work. 

This is why Carwen has decided to face this challenge - she doesn't like walking, certainly not up hills and doesn't like getting up early, so the perfect challenge for her and of course to raise funds for Children in Need and Basis Young People (50% each)

Carwen and her colleague really change the lives of young girls and women by providing them with intensive, one to one support, ensuring they are now no longer at risk of child sexual exploitation.

However, despite recent media attention on CSE, for a small charity, funding is very tight, which means we currently have a waiting list for girls that need our support  - your donation, however small can make a real difference!
