A team from the UK Board of GCS Directors (Tony Anthony, Eric Reverence, Neil Obbard and Sidney Shepherd) will be taking part in the Tough Mudder (London West) on 4th May 2019 to raise money for the GREAT COMMISSION SOCIETY spreading the Gospel in Secondary Schools and Sixth Form Colleges across the UK.
This vital work provides educational support, help, advice, and free literature to support students in the UK struggling with bullying, abuse, Emotional/Mental Health, Identity, Self-worth, Self-esteem, Relationships, Values and Faith. Any amount you can offer will be hugely appreciated and put to optimum use. Your donation will go straight to the frontline to support young people.
Each person taking part in this campaign has first-hand experience of these same issues. As a result of this, some of our team members had quite a checkered past but were able to make a positive change and lived to tell the tale and have written biographical books as a way of offering help, advice and hope to young people today.
We use a wide range of subjects to present a life changing message, through subjects such as PSHE / Citizenship; English Language / Literature; and Philosophy / Religious Studies. We try to keep our lectures fun and clear, teaching students about values and encouraging respect for different national, religious and ethnic identities. Using real life stories is a wonderful way to connect with students, giving them the chance to identify with situations they may be going through themselves.
We would be extremely grateful if you could make a donation to support this worthy cause. Every £1 donated to GCS enables us to share the Gospel with 10 people. Please help us reach as many people as you can by donating. Thank you for supporting this worthy cause
