Walk to Make Syria's Children Safer

Organised by The HALO Trust

Our humanitarian work, clearing landmines and other debris of war, creates safe & secure environments in some of the world’s most vulnerable communities. We save lives and lift local families out of poverty by creating jobs for deminers and we prepare the way for development and long term stability.

Story

Mohammed is just 12 years old and lives in Syria. He lost 80% of his vision following an accident involving unexploded ammunition. His best friend Abdullah was killed. They had been secretly collecting explosives to sell as scrap to earn money for food and toys.

Together we can prevent accidents like Mohammed's. The HALO Trust is working to make homes and families safe but there are many more people to reach. By supporting HALO’s 30km Sponsored Walk for Syria you can save lives and protect some of the world’s most vulnerable children.
