On August 1, 2017, Southampton Hospital joined the Stony Brook Medicine family and is now known as Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. As a result, we are able to bring the best of academic and community medicine to the East End.
In September Stony Brook Southampton Hospital opened the area’s first Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, bringing advanced, lifesaving cardiac care close to home. The Phillips Family Cancer Center is currently under construction and is slated to open in Southampton at the end of 2018. This extraordinary facility will be the only one of its kind on the East End where cancer patients can receive radiation and chemotherapies.
In addition to these transformative services, the Hospital also introduced its Center for Parkinson Disease this year, providing education and support for Parkinson patients through rehabilitation and community-based wellness services.
