Visit the charity's profileAt HCCN we’re working hard to reduce the number of people diagnosed with cancer, starting with keeping people active. Current research points to the importance of people with a cancer diagnosis returning to exercise whilst still undergoing treatment and then to maintain the exercise habit as they live with or recover from cancer.
This is not easy as cancer is a mental battle as well as a physical one - it can strip patients of their confidence to try new things or even to go back to activities they enjoyed before. Our initiative is helping people take those first steps towards their activity goals by having a team around them giving time, support & knowledge. It also facilitates patients to offer support to each other in group activities as no one knows more about what you are going through than another patient. We offer access to activity classes, 1 to 1 personal training & individual, tailored fitness plans.
Help give all cancer patients this opportunity - they deserve it!
