OHIS offers advice, information and practical support to anyone affected by an acquired brain injury - including the individual, families and carers. OHIS provides activity and rehabilitation services, through its Oxford centre and through community support workers.

Story

Every January many of us make a new years resolution to dust off our gym memberships and hit the exercise machines to burn off those extra pounds

Sadly for the 4000 people people who suffer a brain injury in Oxfordshire each year going to a regular gym is not always an option, easy access to physical exercise equipment specifically designed for people with brain injuries and limited mobility and expert physiotherapy equipment close to home is vital to their recovery.

Our aim with your generous support is to create Oxfordshire's first ever state of the art voluntary sector neurological physiotherapy gym at our newly refurbished Activity and Rehabilitation Centre in Oxford

We have had a great start to this appeal over Christmas thanks to some very generous donations, and a substantial donation from a charitable foundation that will allow us to make a start on purchasing equipment for the gym.

Your support and continuing donations will though be vital to this project becoming a reality
