Books Beyond Words picture stories are perfect for adults with learning disabilities, who prefer to read using pictures.  We are raising funds to set up our 'Book Club with a Difference!', so that our customers can enjoy books and explore stories, both fact and fiction, together.

So far we have purchased two bumper book club sets and an iPad application together with training for our staff, so that our customers we can get the most out of Books Beyond Words. 

And now thanks to further donations- £300 from Stratford Rotary and £371 raised at Waitrose in Alcester we are now able to buy another two bumper book club sets for our Stratford and Studley services!

Our Accessible Book Club is going to launch at the Stratford upon Avon Literary Festival at the ArtsHouse in a free, open to all session on 28th April starting at 1pm, so please come along and join us. After that it will pop up in local libraries and across our services, giving all of our customers a chance to get involved and experience the pleasure of reading pictures.
