Story
Help us promote a little peace on earth this Christmas, by supporting our volunteers in 2018!
ICYE UK believe in a world where the sharing of cultures and ideas is embraced, celebrated and lived. Our unique exchange programme is building a world where people respect and learn from each others cultures through volunteering. Maybe that's why in 1987, the UN International Year of Peace, ICYE was designated a 'Peace Messenger' by the UN Secretary-General!
But with costs in the UK rising higher than expected, we need your support this Christmas. Just £10 from supporters like you will help us provide valuable inter-cultural awareness training for our new international arrivals in February 2018.
At the camp, volunteers will learn how to live and learn together in a multicultural environment, break down barriers and become global citizens.
Your donation will help us provide crucial English lessons, a day trip to experience British culture, cultural cooking nights and invaluable training in the themes of cross-cultural communication.
In fact, last year, our volunteers in the UK gave a total of 80,000 hours of their time to community projects and charities across the UK. Volunteers like Marlon, from Costa Rica, who had a huge impact at their project and the training camps they participate in are vital to this.
Thank you for your donation - together we can bring a little more peace on earth!
