The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileThe Kayapo need secondary education so they can protect their interests in the modern world.
But attending the mainstream secondary school in town exposes them to the dangers of alcohol, drugs and cultural disintegration. To combat this they want to extend the Komomoyea Kovoero School, which is in an indigenous village. Secondary pupils from several villages go there to learn in a safe and appropriate environment while living in a familiar cultural setting. But they need decent accommodation where they can live while they are at the school.
News just in: a very generous donor has offered to match any donations we receive for this campaign up to a certain level, so your donation will be instantly doubled!
We are raising £3,500 to help them with the building cost. Please help.
