The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileThe ‘I am a Refugee’ plaque campaign will be launched on 20th June for International Refugee Day to promote the wonderful contribution of refugees to the UK. This builds on our original ‘I am an Immigrant’ poster campaign.
We will work with some primary ambassadors, including Rita Ora, who have come to the UK as refugees and have achieved exceptional success. Their achievements will be recognised by plaques on buildings where they have lived or worked.
The physical plaques will be enhanced by a website allowing all refugees to create their own digital plaques to print and share and giving more information.
As part of Refugee Week 2016 at least 50 other refugees will be invited to create their plaques and all plaques will be displayed in an art exhibition during the course of the week.
We have adjusted several elements of the campaign in order to reduce costs and now need to raise £10,893 to still make it a reality.
