<p>KAT Family Support want to keep reaching out to families, parents, carers and autistic adults, who have nowhere else to turn, and we really need your help to continue. Our service is free to all across Kent and we are solely reliant on grants and donations to keep the service running. </p><p>In addition to providing information and advice, we provide support groups for families and individuals, to develop a community network to help each other through difficult times, build friendships and have the chance to discuss the individual challenges they face, with people who understand and share the same difficulties. We also provide social skills groups, which aim to help with extended communication and listening skills. </p><p>Please help us work together to raise further funding for one year, to ensure this vital service continues. </p><p><em>"I could not have got my son this far, this well without KAT. They have been absolutely instrumental in helping my son go forward. Fighting to get him into a specialist school, in which he flourished, and out of a mainstream situation that was destroying his confidence, where he was bullied severely and unable to ask for help, and so was not taught. </em></p><p><em>He has just done his GCSE’s and is due to go to Specialist College this September. None of this would have happened if it had not been for KAT Family Support, without them, I really dread to think how my son would be. He now he has a freedom and confidence he never had before KAT got involved with our family.
