After many months of campaigning and endless twists and turns. We now find ourselves at the point where Kidsgrove Sports Centre is planned to reopen within the next 6 months. 

As a charitable organisation we are working with Newcastle Borough Council and Staffordshire County Council to not only reopen, but improve the leisure facilities which were available at Kidsgrove Sports Centre. 

Our aim is to fully reopen Kidsgorve Sports Centre within 1 year of operation. However to enable a more manageable approach we plan to first focus on reopening the Sports Hall, Studio(s) and a new and improved fitness suite (gym). We then plan to work to reopening the swimming pool(s) which we know are popular and important aspects of the centre. 

We have been exceptionally humbled by the generosity of the local community. We have had the building recently assessed by a local construction company who believe that Kidsgrove Sports Centre is structurally sound and is just in need of some modernisation. This is exactly what we propose to do! 

We are planning on adapting the whole look and feel of Kidsgrove Sports Centre. This will see the reception area completely redesigned, as well as a brand new and enlarged fitness suite. This will provide an excellent and affordable experience to all of the community. Alongside this, we want to make our centre and resources available for use by the whole community. 

To make this possible we need to raise circa £400,000. We are in talks with various potential funding avenues to raise the majority of this figure.
