Visit the charity's profileThe KSIMC of Birmingham is a mosque and community centre that is a second home for many of us. It is where many of us spend a large amount of our free time participating in the range of activities provided by this organisation. These extend from educational events for little children to social events for our elders. It includes activities for children through our various subcommittees, their education through Madrasah, youth groups catering for them as they grow older, regular lectures for adult educations, social events, sporting events, spiritual events. This organisation celebrates happy events such as engagements and weddings and come together in difficult moments during funerals and other ceremonies for those who have left us. At every stage of our life, this community centre has been our support and strength and hold greats value in each of our lives.
The Abbasi Islamic Centre Project is a project that is working on securing the future of this mosque and community centre. It is looking at rebuilding the mosque, increasing its capacity, improving the current facilities and creating space for further activities. KSIMC of Birmingham's vision is to create a spiritual and vibrant community based on the values and practices of the Islamic Shia Ithna Ashari faith by developing the potential of its members, engaging with the wider society and serving the needs of humanity worldwide. The AIC Project is looking to secure that vision by enhancing our current facilities. All this will only be achievable with the help of our members and well-wishers.
