Story

This is our new L&D NICU fundraising  page our old address https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/nicuappeal expired. Thank you to everyone who donated on that page and for all the new donations to help support our NICU Unit. 

Every year the Luton and Dunstable Hospital’s (L&D) Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) treats over 900 premature and critically ill full-term babies.  We offer the highest level of neonatal intensive care possible and are one of only three high-level neonatal units in the East of England.

Because of this and an increasing birth rate, demand for our specialist services has significantly outstripped resources. The NICU Appeal has been launched to raise additional funds to buy extra equipment and enhance the Unit to ensure that all the babies are treated in the best possible environment.

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Charity raise funds for appeals and to support Wards and Departments to provide a comfortable environment for our patients and their families. All funds raised support a specific appeal, ward, department or is used where it is needed most to support patient care.
