LWA is a private Pan-African Forum that seeks to put Women at the heart of sustainable economic development in Africa with the aim of continuously promoting the inclusion of women in the mainstream economy. LWA goal is to ensure that more women emerge as successful and influential leaders in all spheres: Political, professional and Economic arena in Africa.

As a private platform, LWA has been funding its programmes and activities mainly through income that is generated through membership subscriptions and support from local corporate companies and government department such as theDepartment of Trade and Industry (Dti), South Africa.

The growth of the organisation over the past few years has made it imperative to seek funding not only to sustain LWA’s growth  but more importantly to support growth and sustainability of women-owned business through access to affordable business/ project finance and enterprise development programme.
