Our mission is to build a generation of independent, creative and compassionate thinkers, that can reason and make great decisions. Our projects currently include a Tolerance Day progamme in schools, workshops for religious tolerance, and a 'truth detectives' initiative with the Guardian Foundation.

Story

To mark the UN’s International Day for Tolerance on 16th November, we have created a fun, thoughtful and challenging programme that will help children spot misinformation, give up needing to be right, seek perspective, and resist indoctrination.

Activities include them coming up with 42 key moments in world history, competing for a young journalists prize with the Guardian Foundation, making short films with the BFI, reading a new graphic novel and a political satire written especially for the day, and taking part in a range of curriculum based lesson plans.

We started the initiative last year in the wake of the racial intolerance that emerged during the Brexit campaign, with 60 schools taking part.
