Visit the charity's profileWe are a North East based specialist service provider for young adults with a range of disabilities.
Many of our students are in wheelchairs due to their disabilities and we are in DESPERATE need for a 17 seat minibus with a tail lift in order for them to be included in the diverse society we live in.The money will be used to purchase the minibus and take the students on day trips/access areas of outdoor learning in the community in order to reduce social isolation and give them a better quality of life. With Winter approaching, we are ideally looking to raise the much needed funds by next Summer (July 2017), but if we can raise the money sooner, then even better!!
I know I can speak on behalf of the students and staff at Learning for Life when I say that this minibus will dramatically change their lives. It will make them feel valued and included in society and raise their self esteem by providing them with a better quality of day to day life overall.
