The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileThis Mitochondrial Disease Awareness Week (Sept 17-23) we're asking you to send us your mito messages...feet first! And make a donation to the Lily Foundation.
All you need to do is write a mito message on your feet, take a photo and post it on social media with the hashtag #MitoAware2017. Alternatively you can upload your photo straight to the Bare Your Sole campaign page on the Lily website.
Your mito message can be anything you like - the more creative the better! Go solo or get friends and family to help. Scribble it, tickle it, wriggle it, doodle it! The main thing is to have fun and help raise awareness about mitochondrial disease.
Some useful tips:
Facepaints or eyeliner pencils are great for writing on feet
Don't forget to include the #MitoAware2017 hashtag when posting on social media
A group foot photo is a great way to get longer messages across
The self-timer function on your phone's camera can come in useful
Some letters are more ticklish than others!
Get your school or workplace involved. Can you set a record for the most feet in one photo?
Thanks for putting your best foot forward to beat mito!
