Jayne Galloway, Claire Brown, Emma Sedgwick, Lauren Dollive and Miles Ripley are all cancer specialist nurses who work together at Barnsley Hospital. In their roles as Macmillan nurses, they have seen first hand the help and support their patients have received from both the Little Fox's and Macmillan charities. To help them to continue to do their good work, they have decided to take on the challenge of running the infamous Great North Run this September

The Great North Run is 13.1 miles, and for all but one of the nurses this will be the furthest they have ever run. To help prepare for this challenge, training has already begun. So after a long day looking after their patients, they have then gone out for a run, in all weathers, a few times a week.
