The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileSurviving Winter campaign started in 2010 as a way to pass on Winter Fuel Payments to those in need. The campaign has since grown to accept donations of any size in support of Charity Link and Age UK Leicester Shire& Rutland to protect those who are most vulnerable from the effects of the winter months across our community.
Please consider donating whatever you can spare this winter. Donations will support families and the elderly for everything from food parcels, hot water bottles, help with heating bills, leaks or boiler repairs.
Bishop of Leicester Martyn Snow commented: "Many people in the UK, both the elderly and families, really struggle in cold weather. The Surviving Winter appeal is a small but important step towards helping them."
