We take in, care for, rehabilitate and re-home where possible many horses, ponies and donkeys that find themselves the victims of neglect, abuse, abandonment or at risk of such due to their current owner's unfortunate circumstance. To do this work we rely on the generosity of our supporters and the wider public.

It costs us around £850 a month through the colder months in feed, hay and bedding. This is without the additional veterinary, medication, equipment and staff costs. We currently receive less than £500 a month in regular donations from our supporters. 

This winter we would like every one of our horses and ponies onsite to have their own 15kg horslyx  to supply them with a balance of nutrients to help keep them healthy and happy. Horslyx Balancers provide vitamins, minerals and trace elements in one easy to use, cost effective lick at a cost of £22 each, we estimate they will need at least 2 each to get through winter. We have trialled Horslyx in the past and the condition of the horses was amazing, some of our ponies with locking stifles stopped locking up whilst using Horslyx. A lot of our ponies do not need the extra calories from a hard feed but still need a balancer for vitamins and minerals.  We need to raise £1,320 to give our wonderful rescues this nutritious gift this winter. 

This Christmas we are appealing for you to pledge a regular monthly gift to the current and future equines in our care, to enable us to help more horses, ponies and donkeys and to plan and budget throughout the year. Winter is our most expensive time so even if you cannot pledge a regular donation a one off donation however small will make all of the difference.
