Approximately 400,000 low income children and youth attend Magic Bus’ education and livelihoods programs each week. Operating in 22 states across India, Magic Bus programs are led by nearly 9,000 community-based youth volunteers and staff.
Magic Bus’ key program, Childhood to Livelihood, is based upon 18 years of community development experience. The 7-year program transforms children who live in poverty into confident young adults who are equipped with the education and skills necessary for sustainable employment.
About the Partnership
Magic Bus and the Julie Foudy Sports Leadership Academy are teaming up again to run the 2018 LA Marathon. Julie, along with supporters of both Magic Bus and JFSLA will team up to run and raise funds to continue the 7 year Magic Bus/JFSLA partnership. The goal is to provide a week long JFSLA experience to girls from Magic Bus programs in India. At the Academy, these girls' lives will be dramatically impacted by the unique leadership training and the opportunity for personal growth using sports to unlock their leadership potential. We hope you'll join our team and help create next generation of female role models!
