On Sunday 24 April 2016 a team of Mayflower Theatre staff will run the ABP Southampton Half Marathon. All of the money raised will be used to support ‘Relaxed Performances’ at the theatre.

Our team are: Sarah Lomas, Robin Hancox, Mike Evans, Baz Anwar,  Tim Coultas, Dom Hart, Zoltan Szalas, Kasia Waters and Jenny Boland.

Relaxed Performances are designed to welcome people who might benefit from a more relaxed performance environment, including people on the autism spectrum, with sensory and communication difficulties or a learning disability. There is a relaxed attitude to noise/movement and some small adaptions made to the theatre and show. An easy way to understand the atmosphere is perhaps 'the opposite of the quiet carriage on a train'.

All donations will provide free relaxed performance tickets for Hampshire-based special educational needs (SEN) charities.  Every £9 will fund one ticket and create an opportunity for someone to access the arts and enjoy live performance.
