Story

Hello I’m Jack, I’m a largish terrier cross and I came to the Mayflower Sanctuary a few weeks ago hoping to find a new family to take me home. My carers put me in a very nice bedroom kennel and gave me a very nice dinner. When I went for a check up at the vets, it wasn’t good news. They found I had a leaky heart. The vet did some tests and said that I needed to see a specialist so they sent me to the Willows Veterinary Centre. I heard them say it would cost £1000 just to see me. Until the treatment, I can’t be walked in case I just drop down and die. At the Willows, I had a scan and the vet told me I had an enlarged heart that leaked, something called PAD and I would need an operation to keep me alive that would cost between £2.000 and £4.000 pounds. It’s all very scary as even a walk could make my heart fail. I am on strict rest but with lots of fuss.

I am so lucky that the sanctuary are here to help me but I know it will be a tough amount of money to find, please can you help.
