Story
ME (Myalgic Encephalopathy) or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, is an illness that blights our lives and the lives of 250,000 others in UK today – and you wouldn’t know it to look at us. We may not even look ill.But even the smallest exertion can floor us; our joints andmuscles ache unbearably; restful sleep eludes us; and ‘brain fog’ clouds even the smallest judgment. It has changed our lives drastically – disrupting education; making employment impossible; andstraining family relations to breaking point. A quarter of us are housebound or confined to bed for many months or years. There is no known cure.
So, we’re going BLUE in ME Awareness Week 2016 (9 May and 15 May) to raise awareness of this cruel illness. Please show your support too.
With hugs, understanding, compassion, and any donation that you can spare to help the work of The ME Association in supporting people with ME and their families.#GoBLue4ME
