Story
For the hundreds of thousands of men, women and children in refugee camps after fleeing the Middle East, the journey is far from over. Many are dealing with the traumatic after effects of war, violence, rape, and the loss of family and home. There is the added trauma of living in camps, where children often receive no education and women and girls are vulnerable to sexual exploitation.
Middle East Media has an impressive range of creative media programmes and training, designed to give a voice to the voiceless and hope to the hopeless. These include TV shows for children with accompanying educational curricula, media therapy, filmmaking training, human trafficking courses and more. With your help, we want to adapt these resources to make a difference where the need is greatest, among the refugee camps of Europe and the Middle East.
To support this initiative, we’ll be walking the picturesque Dorset coast on 13th August 2016, from Worth Matravers to Studland. Thanks for your support!
