Story
Lions fan Stephen Kilty is undertaking a daunting charity challenge as he attempts to raise £10,000 for Millwall Community Trust.
The 21-year-old is a regular on the Trust’s Disability Sports Development programme and will, along with 7 members of staff at Millwall, be doing a sky dive in May to raise money to help grow the Disability Project at Millwall Community Trust.
Stephen has loved playing football his whole life but during his early teenage years coaches at a local club gave up on him because he didn’t like to share the ball. Not long after turning 14, Stephen was told he had autism and was forced to change schools, but that did little to dampen his enthusiasm for the beautiful game. After a spell playing for Margate, he began to get involved with Millwall Community Trust’s disability sports scheme and recently Stephen and his twin brother, Dominic, approached coach Ben Perryman with details of their bid to raise money for the Disability Project at Millwall Community Trust to grow to offer more people free football.
