Diagnosis of MS is usually between the ages of 20-40, most commonly at just 28 years old. In the past year, more than one new person a day has come to us seeking support and services for the first time. Our mission is to enable and empower people affected by Multiple Sclerosis to live the life of their choice to their fullest potential.
Three times as many women than men are affected by MS. Lucina, living in Kildare, aged 41 and mother of 7 year old twins, is one of these women.
MS Ireland has been supporting Lucina and her family since her shock diagnosis in 2011. Our physiotherapy classes and therapy days have been invaluable to her. She recently told us “MS Ireland has provided a steady hand for me at times when I needed guidance. My children were thrilled to be part of the MS Family Day trip”. Your donation will help us to support more people just like Lucina.
