<p>Criostai Connolly lives in Loughgiel with his Mum and Dad, Leona and Art, and his three very protective sisters Lauren (18), Caitie (11) and Anya (10). He is a fun loving child who loves Liverpool, Minecraft and Dan TDM theYouTuber!</p><p>Criostai was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy in January 2013 when he was 5 years old. Art and Leona were of course shocked but as a strong family with tremendous community support they decided to put all their efforts into fundraising for research.</p><p>In May 2014 over 60 people traveled to run the Belfast Marathon relay for Muscular Dystrophy UK raising £15,000. The Connolly family have also raised thousands through Community events such as a Vintage Car show and The Scenic Inn charity weekend.</p><p>Art and Leona are also active members of the Northern Ireland Muscular Dystrophy UK Council and t<span>hey are now launching Criostai’s Heroes to raise more awareness to continue their fundraising as a family fund.</span></p>
