<p>In June 2014 Sam and Sue Taylor’s son Will was diagnosed with Duchenne muscular dystrophy, a muscle wasting condition for which<span> there is no cure. </span><span>We are raising funds for research into this condition, so it may be able to make a difference for Will, and other children of his age. So please get involved and sponsor this huge challenge.</span></p><p><span>On Day 1, participants will individually, or as part of a 2 or 3 man team, cycle 115 miles from Whitby in North Yorkshire, across the North York Moors, through the Dales and into the Lake District to the East Shore of Lake Windermere. </span></p><p>On day 2, they will swim 1 mile across Lake Windermere, and then run a marathon (26 miles) across Cumbria from Lakeside to Walney Island. Will, his big sister Beth, and little brother Barney will be part of this challenge as members of the support crew. <span>The rest of the support crew are all volunteers. </span></p><p><span>All of the money that is donated will go to the Muscular Dystrophy UK </span><a href="http://www.musculardystrophyuk.org/get-involved/your-money/duchenne-research-breakthrough-fund/">Duchenne Research Breakthrough Fund</a><span>.</span></p>
