<p><p>Ryan’s Rebels is a family fund that has been set up in support of Muscular Dystrophy UK by Andrew and Tracey Brown for their young son Ryan, who has Duchenne muscular dystrophy.</p><p><p>Duchenne muscular dystrophy is one of over sixty known types of muscular dystrophy and is one of the most severe types of muscular dystrophy. Those with Duchenne muscular dystrophy tend to lose the ability to walk before their thirteenth birthday and have a shortened life expectancy, with many never reaching their 30th birthday. Ryan, who was born in 2008, already receives hydrotherapy, steroid and physiotherapy treatment.</p><p><p>All funds raised in support of Ryan’s Rebels will help support the continued work of the Duchenne Research Breakthrough Fund to help find viable treatments and a potential cure for Ryan and those with Duchenne muscular dystrophy.
