Since Doddie Weir announced that he had been diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease, the support from the rugby family from all parts has been inspiring. PLANET EARTH, this is your chance to show YOUR support for the big fella, and challenge yourself to bag those miles. 

The Doddie Gump is an mass participation, on-line exercise event lasting the length of the 6 Nations rugby championship. People can sign up to the app, donate and then record all their mileage whether running, cycling, in the gym or just walking the dog. 

You can join Doddie Gump International, representing the WORLD, one of five teams, which will be competing from 3rd Feb to 17th March to top the table in: 

1./ Most participants 

2./ Most miles logged 

3./ Most funds donated to My name5 Doddie Foundation.  

There is also the collective challenge. How far can we go together? To the moon at 225,623 miles? Easy.·To Mars, 34 million miles away, now that is a challenge.·  The biggest ever virtual charity event? We need to recruit more than 34,000 participants for that.  

Doddie's story has touched the rugby world. The Doddie Gump event allows everyone to get involved, show that support and help him in his quest to push MND research forward and find treatments for this devastating disease, while challenging themselves.
