Story
On Tuesday 28th November The Myton Hospices is hoping to perform something of a Christmas miracle by raising £3,220 in just 24 hours!
This would be enough to fund an Inpatient bed for one week.
It’s a big target we have set ourselves for #GivingTuesday but we hope with your help we will be able to achieve it!
We are joining charities across the globe in the world’s biggest one-day fundraising campaign which aims to encourage people to donate to those in need, at a time of year when many of us are thinking about giving and receiving presents and buying extra-special treats for the festive season.
Sadly life limiting and terminal illnesses don’t stop for Christmas, and neither does Myton; we try to make our Inpatient Units as much like home as possible for the patients and their families who spend the festive period with us and do our best to make what might be their last Christmas together extra-special.
We need to raise £8.8 million to continue providing our services free of charge, 365 days a year and we can’t do it without people like you!
HOW YOU CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE...
£12 will fund a patients meals for one day this Christmas.
£25 covers the cost of one hour’s specialist nursing care.
£162 will fund 10 children’s bereavement counselling sessions.
£460 will fund an inpatient bed for one day.
£1,110 is the cost of running our Rugby Day Hospice for one day.
£4,830 is the running cost of our Inpatient Unit at Coventry Myton Hospice for one day.
£27,600 will fund a children’s counsellor for one year.
£35k will fund recruitment, training and salary for a nurse for one year.

Last year we supported more than 1,400 people and their families, in our three hospices, via our patient & family support services, and in the community through Myton at Home.
