On Tuesday 27th November The Myton Hospices is hoping to perform something of a Christmas miracle by raising £3,000 in just 24 hours!

This would be enough to support a Myton at Home nurse to visit a patient at home throughout December!

Its a big target we have set ourselves for #GivingTuesday but we hope with your help we will be able to achieve it!

We are joining charities across the globe in the worlds biggest one-day fundraising campaign which aims to encourage people to donate to those in need, at a time of year when many of us are thinking about giving and receiving presents and buying extra-special treats for the festive season.

Sadly life limiting and terminal illnesses dont stop for Christmas, and neither does Myton; we try to ensure that people and their families can enjoy the festive period together as much as possible, at home or in our hospices, and do our best to make what might be their last Christmas together extra-special.

We need to raise £9.6 million to continue providing our services free of charge, 365 days a year and we cant do it without people like you!

HOW YOU CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE...

£12 will fund a patients meals for one day this Christmas.

£25 covers the cost of one hours specialist nursing care.

£80 will fund 5 childrens bereavement counselling sessions.

£106 could fund the cost of one Myton at Home visit.

£460 will fund an inpatient bed for one day.

£1,110 is the cost of running our Rugby Day Hospice for one day.

£4,830 is the running cost of our Inpatient Unit at Coventry Myton Hospice for one day.

£27,600 will fund a childrens counsellor for one year.

£35k will fund recruitment, training and salary for a nurse for one year.
