National Animal Welfare Trust Christmas Appeal for homeless pets

Not every animal will get his or her Christmas wish this year. Some will spend Christmas day still waiting for a happy, loving home of their own. Please help us to make their wait a happy one.

The National Animal Welfare Trust cares for and rehomes over 1300 animals a year, from cats and dogs to smalls and sheep! Active in all the communities it serves, the Trust has 5 rescue centres in the south of the UK, supported entirely by the generosity of the animal-loving public.

Story

On Christmas day this year, approximately 60 dedicated staff and volunteers will spend their day caring for around 400 homeless animals across our centres.

These homeless and abandoned pets have had a tough time, they’ve been forced to cope with a lot of upheaval in their lives through no fault of their own. So every year the team at NAWT make it their mission to give each and every animal a happy Christmas day, full of as much celebration and merriment as those of pets with a human and a home to call their own.

With your help, we will fill their day with love and happiness as well as a few special Christmas treats, including a tasty Christmas dinner and a stocking from Santa Paws filled with goodies.

We hope that next year they will all be spending Christmas Day in a happy home of their own but in the meantime we can make sure they know it’s Christmas here.
