In 2015 we started a partner shelter in China. The dogs and cats we save from the slaughterhouse, trucks and dog meat markets are given sanctuary until we can find them homes. Our base is in Hebei the neighbouring province to Beijing and to access us you need transport. Our van is so old it keeps breaking down and it is also not properly equipped with cages. We would really like to buy another second hand one. This would be a lifeline to bring in supplies, to carry out vaccinations in local villages and to take our sick dogs to the animal hospital.We recently had some amazing volunteers run the London Marathon to help but we still need an additional £3000.
