<p>This heavy medieval gold ring has the Latin words “AMOR. VIRTVE. NVTRITVR.” inscribed on the inside of the band, which translates as “Love is nourished by virtue”. The ring was found in Thetford nunnery, and the inscription has survived perfectly since it was made over 500 years ago.
