The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileIn a world where many young people don't reach their potential because they aren't perfect - our award winners do not let imperfection define them. They instead challenge what the world has thrown at them and use sport to build resilience, self-confidence and an understanding that failure leads to success.

The Gambaru Adversity Awards is an inspirational feel good charity that changes people’s lives in our community. By raising the profile of young people who overcome adversity we celebrate their success and inspire them to even greater achievements. The awards create role models for others who are struggling, and raises the profile of the wonderful work that support teams, friends and family do in schools and the broader community.
Our awards cover every aspect of diversity and all levels of sporting participation. At a time when funding is being withdrawn from sports e.g. Cerebral Palsy football, because they are no longer represented at the Paralympics we are celebrating the difference sport can make to those most in need of a vehicle they can use to build a better tomorrow.
In addition to the awards programme we are committed to build legacy. This year working with our 2016 Boys Ambassador Cameron Osburn we've help establish Adversity United a community football club for disabled young children under 12. Cameron is 17 years old and will never let the fact that he has Cerebral Palsy limit his potential. He is a shining example of a young person who having overcome adversity has translated that into a 'can do', 'unstoppable' approach to life.
