Women who build the courage and strength to leave an abusive home often leave with the bare minimum, sometimes with literally only with the clothes on their backs. Many of these women do not have a safe place to go to so they turn to refuges, who are then able to provide them with a safe haven and fulfil their basic needs. However this Ramadhan, we want to show these brave women that they are not alone by giving them more than their basic needs and providing them with warm wishes and love through a Ramadhan Gift Hamper. 

Ramadhan is a time of joy, family, prayer and peace. Often women who leave abusive homes are so alone that their Ramadhan is not fulfilling. We would like them to be able to welcome Ramadhan the way you and I do, with happiness and them knowing that there are people who care about them and there are many people who wish them well. 

These women are not forgotten nor should they feel punished for not tolerating the abuse anymore. Their bravery sets an example to others and we should be on the other side to help them overcome their most difficult journey. 

One hamper costs only £40. This small gesture and gift will put a huge smile on the faces of the women who were oppressed. They will raise their hands and make duaa for you in this Blessed month of Ramadhan, and YOU could be the reason they have an uplifting and beautiful Ramadhan. 

This year we will be delivering these hampers to Solace Womens aid (two locations) and Asha refuge. Hamper will include: dates, rice, flour, lentils, pasta, cooking oil, tinned items such as chickpeas, kidney beans, sweetcorn coconut milk, long life custard, oats, sanitary pads, shampoos, tea, toothpaste, Ramdhan activity books for children, dua book,  ZamZam water, a mug, & more. Love for your others what you love for yourself.
