The snare was slicing through her abdomen and, though she was still struggling, you could see she was giving up the fight for life. I called the Scottish SPCA, hoping we could still save her, but her wounds were too severe”

On September 262014 our Field Officer visited Glenogil estate to gather evidence for our Ban Snares campaign. The above account is what he witnessed. An investigation followed and the gamekeeper responsible was charged. 18 months later, the case was suddenly dropped.
The law failed to protect these foxes, just as it fails thousands of animals killed in snares every year. We now have the chance to ban snares in Scotland for good, but the opposition are already lining up to defend this cruelty. If you want it to stop, please support our #BanSnares campaign fund now.
