The campaign has now expired but it's not too late to support this charity.
Visit the charity's profileThe name 'Mandela' has become synonymous with the struggle for justice. Just like the South African freedom-fighter human rights defenders in many countries are putting the lives on the line to support some of the world's most marginalised communities.
Yet while Nelson Mandela came to receive global recognition for his work, the plight of most human rights defenders remains dangerously invisible.
Since its founding 35 years ago, PBI has provided life-saving protection to thousands of at-risk human rights defenders. We send teams of international volunteers to areas of conflict and repression to accompany local people whose lives and work are under threat.
Donate today to help us continue protecting these courageous individuals and your donation will be doubled.
