Story
On Tuesday 26th December 2017, some brave souls will be taking to the icy waters of the Irish Sea to take part in PeacePlayers Annual Boxing Day Plunge.
Plungers will take to the water from the Down’s Road Car Park Slipway, Newcastle at 9.30am.
As well as a great social occasion, the plunge is a real opportunity to raise money to support the important work of PeacePlayers. Please make every effort you can to raise money over the Christmas period and to turn up and enjoy the occasion. If you are not participating, give every encouragement to those who are and please put a donation in the bucket. What have you got to lose? As well as generating some important funds for a fantastic organisation, it should make for a great mornings craic!
Wet suits are not permitted. Though a top tip is to wear shoes as it makes the experience all the more pleasant. As on “I’m a Celebrity Get me Out of Here” folks are only excused from participating in the plunge on medical grounds!!
