Story

Monday 15th May 2017 sees the launch of the inaugural Voice Of Racing Project which allows those of us who love horseracing to give something back to three of the sport’s most important charities - The Peter O’Sullevan Charitable Trust and the UK and Irish Injured Jockeys Funds. At The Races, Racing Post and The Irish Field will be encouraging all fans of the sport to come together, pledge donations and raise funds for these highly deserving racing causes.

Fundraising across the sport will start on May 3rd and continue until November 23rd. All proceeds will be split 50% to the Peter O'Sullevan Charitable Trust and 50% to the Injured Jockeys Funds.

The focal point of the project will be a dedicated day of fundraising, the inaugural Voice Of Racing Day, which will take place on June 30th. Cartmel, Doncaster and Yarmouth host fixtures in the afternoon followed in the evening by Chester, Newmarket, Newcastle and The Curragh.

At The Races, broadcasting live from four of the courses, will showcase the Voice Of Racing charities through a series of interviews and feature programmes. All viewers and online fans will be encouraged to donate during the day. Racing Post and Irish Field will also generously profile the great work these charities do and support the fundraising efforts.
