Story
Rainbow Valley is inspired by Johanna MacVicar. She lived with leukaemia for 11 years until she passed away in 2015 aged 27. She was brave, passionate, inspirational, but mostly, she was a visionary. It was her dream, to build Rainbow Valley, we are honouring that wish not only for Jo but every person who will benefit from Rainbow Valley. It will be a facility where cancer sufferers, their friends and families can go to relax before, in between and after hospital treatments. They will explore the plethora of holistic treatments, complementary therapies that are available. It will also be a powerful centre of education. Working alongside the patient’s medical treatment, our approach will give the patient and family the practical tools to help manage the impact of cancer and improve long term quality of life. We will refurbish the former outdoor centre on Loch Lomond, Scotland, to deliver a facility in tranquil and healing surroundings away from the hospital environment.
