The RIBA champions better buildings, communities and the environment through architecture and our members. Our National Schools Programme and Student Support Fund support and nurture future architects, and our architectural collections form the basis of our cultural & educational activities.

Story

The length of architecture courses, along with the need for specialised materials, printing services and essential field trips, makes architecture one of the most expensive professions to join. Sadly, ambitious, talented and industrious students are being lost to the profession.

RIBA’s Student Hardship Fund helps to make architecture accessible to all by providing grants to those most in need. We believe that anyone dreaming of becoming an architect should have the opportunity to do so.

With the help of the RIBA I have been able to continue a high level of study and research without the added pressures of otherwise crippling and stressful additional costs.” - Joe Morizzo, Student Hardship Fund recipient
